pretty pattern friday and some other good stuff. . .

For Pretty Pattern Friday, I've used some of the flowers I drew yesterday to create this charming pattern:

It's ridiculously hot and humid again today so again I'm hiding out in my nice air conditioned studio, this time drawing some winter things to fight this heat.  More holiday card designs are in the works!

And I've got some other fun stuff to share today as well:

1.  The current batch of jewelry remaining in my shop is going to be my last.  After a lot of pondering, I've decided to keep my focus on creating new illustrations and paper goods for shop and on various other aspects of my business as well.  I've got a lot of good things planned and a lot of ideas floating around that require my attention.  My hope is that eventually I'll partner with someone or license my illustrations and patterns for jewelry pieces.  But for right now, the necklaces in my shop are the last I will be offering.

That said, I've got quite a few findings, necklaces, charms and other bits just laying around my studio now, so I'll probably be offering all of those goodies up for sale as one big bunch in the near future to clear out some space.

2.  Inspired Doodles starts in about a week and a half and I've got exciting news on that front.  As part of the online workshop, I've created a little community forum where students will be able to ask questions and share their daily sketches and other work.  Unlike past forums, Inspired Doodles students will now be granted lifetime access to the community forum so they can continue to share and grow within this private, creative community.  Past Inspired Doodles students are now welcome to join this new forum, so if you've taken my Inspired Doodles course and would like access to the new forum, please get in touch with me using the Contact tab at the top of the page!

3.  And finally I'm happy to announce that I'll be starting a monthly podcast in the fall for you, my lovely blog readers.  I get questions every day on everything from running a small business to what printers I use, so I've decided to answer those and any other questions you might have in my new podcast, starting in September.  So if you've got a question you've been dying to ask, feel free to do so via the Contact tab at the top of the page or just leave a comment on this post, I'd love to here from you!
