Spring, Maybe?

We haven't had much of a winter.  Actually other than a handful of cold days and maybe an inch of snow, this winter has been downright pleasant.  So pleasant that I haven't even gotten to wear my snazzy/cozy new snow boots.  I'm a bit disappointed really, not about the lack of winter but at not having the chance to try out my new boots!

Even so, I was pretty excited when I spotted this in my backyard this afternoon:

The first crocus!

I spent a lot of January cooped up in my studio, staring at my computer screen so I'm hoping for some early spring sunshiney weather to use as excuse to get out of my studio a bit.  In the meantime, I've been spending the last few days away from my computer as much as possible, working on some crafty things like these new wooden brooches:

They are like teeny tiny wearable art prints and will most likely be available by the end of the week.

And I'll leave you with my daily sketch.  Today topic is:  out

"James' attempt to help his mother in the kitchen turned into a bit of a fiasco and ended with her ordering him out of the kitchen."
